I am studing at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School (NTCVS). There are two reason for my studying at AFLA. Since I was in junior high, I has been so interested in English that I always done well on English tests. Moreover, I also have a deep curiosity in learning Japanese as I am fond of Japan. Hence, I chose AFLA as my major. In order to strengthen my languistic abilities, not only does I study the textbooks but also read magazines. I believe that the more I read, the better reading ability and the more vocabulary I will achieve. Furthermore, I also listen to English, Japanese songs and watch English, Japanese movies as my amusements so that I can enhance my listening ability . Every now and then, I practice English dialogues with my classmates while in the class. I really enjoy learning with classmates every day and be content with such an effective environment. To my delight, my efforts pays off. I get the Intermediate-level Certificate of General English Proficiency Test afterward.
Besides taking lessons in knowledge from school, I have also learned the notion that "being ministrant to others is important" as I acted as a practicing training leader. Although it was laborious to help submit everyone's application form and a huge amount of registration fee to school, I still did my best and served everyone with enthusiasm. Whenever I served my classmates, I would receive a sense of achievement. It was a particular experience for me. In NTCVS, I can not only strengthen my languisic skills but also be capable of broadening my horizons.

Family Background
My name is Chia Ying Lin. I was born in a 5-member family with a harmonious atmosphere. My father is the person who is so truthful that his action is in accord with his words. Therefore, I admire and respect him very much. He always tells me to be an honest people, not to deceive others except for white lies. My mother, unlike others', is a housewife who does housework diligently everyday without complaining. From her behavior, I learn that doing things with diligence is significant even though it's just an comon, ordinary "brick". When I face some challenges, they also encourage me not to look upon everything as predicaments. There must exist another way for me to look for.
